And don’t miss MR Press author Alan Wieder, author of Ruth First and Joe Slovo in the War against Apartheid, who will be at the MRP table for a book signing at 10:30 AM.

At noon, Alan will participate in a panel discussion, “Mandela: An American Perspective,” in the Brooklyn Law School Moot Courtroom. He will be joined by broadcasting legend Charlayne Hunter-Gault (In My Place, Country of My Skull) and Sean Jacobs (Thabo Mbeki’s World) to discuss Mandela’s profound influence on America and the ways his story is filtered through the national identity. Moderated by Danny Schechter (Madiba A-Z). For more information, click here.

Praise for Ruth First and Joe Slovo in the War against Apartheid: “A truly remarkable work. Alan Wieder shows himself as a writer equal to their life story, their inspiring bravery in action and self-analysis.”—Nadine Gordimer, author, activist, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature

We hope to see you there!
