Recently on KPFA’s Against the Grain, John Bellamy Foster offered some perspective from his new book, The Dialectics of Ecology, as he discussed Monthly Review author Albert Einstein, who, in addition to being a brilliant theoretical physicist, was also a socialist. John Bellamy Foster describes Einstein’s radical political commitments, including his efforts in relation to the founding of Brandeis University, his role in the Henry Wallace campaign, and his seminal essay “Why Socialism?”
