KBOO Community Radio hosts this FREE/DONATIONS ONLY FORUM featuring three renowned activists/authors who have written about, and participated in, movements much like the recent campaigns by Portland Public school and PSU educators.

Steve Early, “How Unions Organize to Win”

Arun Gupta, “The Wal-Mart Working Class”

Johanna Brenner, “Organizing the Working Class: what does feminism have to do with it?”

Gwen Sullivan, President of Portland Association of Teachers (PAT) will be opening the forum.

Johanna Brenner is a retired PSU faculty member who writes on feminist theory. She is the author of Women and the Politics of Class.

Steve Early is a labor journalist and former director of organizing for the Communication Workers of America; he is the author of Save Our Unions

Arun Gupta is a journalist, co-founder of The Indypendent and founder of the Occupied Wall Street Journal. He is a contributor to Socialist Register 2014: Registering Class. He regularly writes for The Guaradian and Alternet as well as other alternative publications.
