On March 5th, Rob Wallace, author of  Dead Epidemiologists and Joseph Graves of Science for the People (SftP) took a deep dive into the socio-political and economic milieu from which the Covid-19 pandemic emerged to shake the world.

Grave’s expertise in epidemiology and the disproportionate effects of infectious diseases on racial minorities steered the discussion as Wallace offered his take on the relationship between industrial agriculture, capitalist modes of production and the Covid-19 crisis. The conversation was co-sponsored by Monthly Review Press and SftP, and hosted by Pilsen Community Books in Chicago.

Simultaneous Spanish translation was available for the Q&A portion of this event.
